    Description

    Portugal is a southern European country on the Iberian Peninsula bordering Spain. Algarve is the southernmost region known for its Atlantic beaches and golf resorts. Whitewashed fishing villages on low cliffs overlooking sandy coves were transformed in the 1960's, and are lined with villas, bars, and restaurants. The area is 1,929 miles.
