This is the official black color RAK 5.8 dBi outdoor antenna, imported directly from RAK Wireless.
One antenna to suit both 868MHz and 915 MHz
All orders come with antenna, bracket, and U-bolt mount with washers and nuts
Pick-a-cable or select no cable if none needed
You can choose the 3 foot 195 grade cable with bulkhead OR
A 16 foot LMR-400 equivalent cable with the correct connectors for the antenna and your miner. For 16 foot length, you want to have 400 grade shielding or better. This could be LMR-400, RFC-400, CFD-400, or Wilson 400. If you go with a higher loss cable like RG58 or RG174, you will experience degraded performance due to high cable gain loss.
Compatible Miners
This kit is compatible with RAK, RAK 2, Nebra Indoor, SyncroB.it, SenseCAP M1, or Bobcat miner (915 MHz USA and 868 Europe versions only).
As gain increases, your vertical path will decrease, allowing you to communicate with hotspots from a greater distance but reducing your ability to be in the path of closer hotspots. As your community experiences new miners over time, it may be necessary to adjust what antenna you are using to deal with the density.

Returns
Antennas are expensive to ship and return. Antennas have no electronic parts that can malfunction. Rokland will cover any damage. Higher gain does not mean increased witnesses or HNT, it just means your path is more narrow and extends further. This may result in more witnesses, less, or about the same based on your area. You are welcome to message us your three-word hotspot name for comments if you like and we highly recommend doing so if you don't know if this antenna will help in your situation or not. If you purchase the antenna but decide you don't want it based on performance, buyer will cover shipping both ways. Opening a defective claim does not circumvent this- we will test returned antennas and only cover shipping and return shipping in the event an antenna does not work.
