Placed a 12x8 tom SHELL in the case (actual depth = 8 1/8") and it fits perfectly fine. When placing this shell in the case + closing the lid it doesn't close flush but has @ an 1/8" space that EASILY latches shut. Your 6.5" depth snare should fit fine in the case.
Case is in VERY GOOD++ condition. Very strong structurally.
Light scuffs + wear as shown;
Some paint loss & tarnish? to black metal banding;
Interior solid + free of the usual wear & tear (often very heavy wear!) from snare + stand getting banged around.
