Basically, my hundreds of hours of prep work
to remove all dark shadowing from the old and yellowed original copy,
have been pirated!!!
My PAPER text copy has three hole punches! -Their CD copy even has the hole punches in their copies!

This book was written for High School Home Economics school teachers, who taught the use of nearly all of the attachments, and cams for the singer sewing machines, and SPECIFICALLY,
the 401A singer, as well as the 403.
And since nearly all slant style machines use the same attachments,
and discs, this is a very useful book, for all slant style singer sewing machines.
It is the best Instructional Text I know of for The 401A!,.......... And this text can apply to many of the similar singer slant style models!

A great reference book for the Singer Slant-O-Matic machines ! Sewing techniques , and tips in a no nonsense , easy to follow text !  The 403 is exactly like the 401, EXCEPT it does not’ have a built-in cam stack. In order to produce a zigzag or decorative stitch, the machine relies upon an insertable cam. It uses the exact same cams as the 401.  This text is more than helpful for singer slant-o-matic 600 , 603 , and some 700 series slant machines as well !
The Text is printed on both sides of the paper, making this an easy follow product. The pictures & lettering are clear and very readable.

for instance, The Singer 755  Model also does zigzag embroidery
This model is jammed with special features...
.it has a simplicity of dial controls for stitch length,
width, and pattern; pressure and tension settings.
It can do stretch stitches for knits as well as regular
stitches - stitches that decorate, embroider, quilt,
mend, baste, and create. It can do the sought after
CHAIN STITCH. In addition it has the push-button,
self winding bobbin. T are both built-in and interchangeable
Fashion Discs/Cams and Flexi-Stitch Discs/Cams.
You can do double needle stitching.
