Vintage Stanley No. 945-10 Ratcheting Bit Brace - INVJ47

Description

You are looking at a vintage 10" ratcheting bit brace made in the USA by Stanley Tool. This brace is marked on the  7/16" steel frame, as well as on the sleeve of the chuck with the company branding and the number of the drill. This piece features a  1/2"  chuck with spring type alligator jaws, that ratchets either left or right with the turn of the knurled collar above the chuck. It also has a lock position for setting bits and non-ratchet work. The head and the wrist handle on this piece are painted hardwood, and have no splits or cracks, but do show  usage, and some finish loss.. The head rides a steel clad ball bearing for ease of usage, and the wrist handle has two non-adjustable steel rings to prevent splitting. The drill has been cleaned and tuned for proper operation and is ready for the collector or the user.
